Help Us Educate and Empower: Support the Fight Against Male Breast Cancer
The Bret Miller 1T Foundation and Male Breast Cancer Happens, both 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organizations, are on a mission to change the narrative around breast cancer in men. Together, we’re working to educate the world and amplify the voices of male breast cancer survivors, but we can’t do it without you.
Breast cancer isn’t just a women’s disease—it affects men too. Yet men diagnosed with breast cancer face unique challenges: navigating a medical system primarily designed for women, enduring feelings of isolation, and battling stigmas that delay life-saving diagnoses. Until there’s greater awareness in the medical community and society at large, many men will continue to suffer in silence.
Our founder, Bret Miller, knows these challenges all too well. At just 17, Bret found a lump in his chest. For years, doctors brushed it off, telling him it was “normal” for a growing young man. At age 24, his world changed with a shocking diagnosis: breast cancer. Bret’s journey—from being the only man in waiting rooms to becoming a voice for men with this disease—fuels our relentless efforts to ensure others don’t endure the same.
Every day, we’re making strides:
- Educating the public about breast cancer in men through our website and social media platforms.
- Sharing real stories through our ongoing Men Have Breasts Too series, which features survivors, families, and medical experts.
- Advocating for clinical research and testing tailored to men, so no one is overlooked.
Your gift supports vital initiatives like creating awareness campaigns, producing educational documentaries, and funding programs that empower survivors and their families. Together, we can rewrite the story for men facing breast cancer.
Donate today and join the fight. Because men have breasts too—and they deserve to be seen, heard, and supported.
