CHRIS....WHY?
In 2022, Chris challenged himself to run 1 mile every day for 7 days. He kept the streak going and the idea to run a great distance was born and grew until he and his wife landed on running the perimeter of America every day for one year, after a 5 year running streak.
The ultimate mission for one man and his family.
Chris Avery will be running an Ultra-Marathon 50K (31.1 miles) every day of 2027 to complete the perimeter of the United States. He will be raising money to inspire the idea that you can achieve your audacious goals alongside your family.
Objectives
- Start in Phoenix, Arizona January 1, 2027
- Run Ultra-Marathon 50K (31.1 miles) every day
- Run counter-clockwise through 34 states
- Stay close to family, the team, and God
- End in Phoenix December 31, 2027
- Post weekly recap videos on YouTube
- Post daily recap videos on YouTube, Instagram, TikTok
- Have fun and get it done!
Fun Facts
- Chris has run every day since January 9, 2022
- His training increases every 60-90 days
- With 110% support from his wife, he ran on both days his children were born!
- Total injuries so far: shin splints, broken finger, blister large enough to name
- Chris operates a coaching business and will continue it during the run
